Too often, animals that are brought in to be altered have to have surgery, only to learn that they’ve already been fixed. By tattooing every animal WAG sterilizes, this can be avoided. Some people are concerned that such tattooing is disfiguring, but it’s actually just a tiny dot, often not even visible when the hair grows back.
