Prepayment/Reschedule/Cancellation/No Show Fee                                                                      

  • WAG requires pre-signing of consent forms and prepayment for all services.
  • We are currently not accepting French bulldogs (male or female) for spay/neuter due to their unique anatomical challenges, particularly related to anesthesia. These dogs are brachycephalic, meaning they have short noses and flat faces, which can lead to complications during anesthesia due to their predisposition to airway obstruction.

  • All payments are non-refundable. We require cancellations to be made no less than 3 business days prior to the appointment. If you cancel the appointment prior to the 3 business days, we will credit your account. If you do not call or do not show for your appointment your fee will result in a 50% reduction in fees paid (which will be applied to our Spay it Forward Program), and you will be required to pay that half again to reschedule, at time of rescheduling.
  • Low-Income Clients: A $50 deposit is required at the time of scheduling, or your appointment will be cancelled and you will be required to start over.   • Standard Pricing Clients: A $100 deposit is required at the time of scheduling, or your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be required to schedule again and prepay.

  • Once the deposit is received, your appointment will be confirmed. If you do not pay the deposit after submitting the online appointment, your appointment will be cancelled.
  • Once the appointment is confirmed you will receive an emailed invoice with balance due 3 business days before your appointment or your appointment will be cancelled. 

Feral and Free-roaming Cats

Scheduling                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

  • The fastest option for scheduling is through our online system below. If there is not an available appointment for your pet, that means the appointments for that species, sex, or weight are full and this is NOT a mistake. Some animal types are booked two months in advance, while others have availability sooner. Check back daily to see if more appointments have been opened.
  • For example, female dogs over 70 lbs. and male dogs over 80lbs reach capacity quickly. Please check back often for openings online. Please bear with us as we work through our high volume of requests.

Appointment requests are handled in the order they are received.

  • Requests must be finalized by WAG staff. We will respond as soon as possible, but it could take up to a few business days, as we are only open 4 days a week. If you have not received confirmation from us within 48 business hours, please be sure to check your email spam folder. Email us at appointments@wagwag.org if you do not find the confirmation. If you leave a voicemail, please do not leave more than one message, as it will only delay the return process.
  • Multiple pets: You may schedule up to 2 pets per appointment. One form submission is required for each pet. We may not always be able to accommodate more than 1 pet for the same day. If you are unable to make a second appointment for the same day, then it must be full. If needed, you can contact appointments@wagwag.org to see if there is another day where you can get them both in on the same day.
  • If you are receiving government assistance and are in need of low-income pricing or financial assistance, please indicate when scheduling.

NOTE TO DOG OWNERS: Having a correct balance of smaller/larger dogs, and male/female dogs, scheduled each day is vital for our ability to complete a surgical day on time.  For example, a dog that is reported as 45 lbs. that weighs in at 90 lbs. at the appt will be denied service because larger dogs take much longer to complete.  Female surgeries also take much longer to complete than male surgeries. Thus, it is imperative that you select the correct classifications when scheduling an appointment to ensure you will receive services on the promised date.

**Our surgical staff requires all potentially anxious or aggressive dogs to receive a dose of Trazodone and Gabapentin the night before and then another dose 2 hours prior to check in to which they would ask you to arrive at 8 AM that morning for.

To prepare for this procedure, we would like to schedule a pre-surgical appointment before your original appointment date to make sure that you have these anxiety medications in order, and to conduct an exam on your dog.
