WAG schedules appointments ONLY two months at a time. The fastest option for scheduling is through our online system below. If there is not an available appointment for your pet, that means the appointments for that species, sex, or weight are full and this is NOT a mistake. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL TO INQUIRE IF THAT IS CORRECT! You will need to check back daily to see if more appointments have been opened. Female dogs over 70 lbs. and male dogs over 80lbs reach capacity quickly. Please check back often for openings online. Please bear with us as we work through our high volume of requests.  

WE REQUIRE PRESIGNING OF CONSENT FORMS AND PREPAYMENT FOR SERVICES ONLINE (unless exceptional financial hardship is demonstrated supporting delay of payment). Due to high demand for appointments, if you do not show for your appointment, WAG will not offer a refund. However, we will leave the payment as a credit on your account for future reschedule and services. This credit will remain on your account up to 6 months from the payment date, after which time, if not used, it will be applied as a donation to our Spay it Forward Fund. If you are requesting deferred payment, please indicate this in the “Notes” section of the appointment request form. Due to increased demand for spay/neuter, Effective June 21, 2023- WAG will return to servicing cats and dogs of Lane County residents and some surrounding areas only!

WAG has been experiencing a huge number of last-minute cancellations for rescheduling & no-shows. This REALLY hurts the community! Our prepay policy has been for last minute cancellations/no shows to be converted into credit to be used within 6 mos. Now we are forced to charge a $10 administrative fee for NO-SHOWS, CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS LESS THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT in the hope this will deter cancellations/no-shows to keep our daily numbers high so we can serve the community as quickly as possible.

NOTE TO DOG OWNERS:  If you request an appointment and it is determined that your breed, sex, and/or weight of dog is significantly different than initially reported, your appointment will be denied, and you will be asked to schedule another appointment at the correct weight, breed or gender class.  Having a correct balance of smaller/larger dogs, and male/female dogs, scheduled each day is vital for our ability to complete a surgical day on time.  For example, a dog that is reported as 45 lbs. that weighs in at 90 lbs. at the appt will be denied service because larger dogs take much longer to complete.  Female surgeries also take much longer to complete than male surgeries. Thus, it is imperative that you select the correct classifications when scheduling an appointment to ensure you will receive services on the promised date.

Feral and Free-roaming Cats

Request a Spay/Neuter Appointment

Please do not resubmit this form or use multiple methods to request an appointment. We respond to requests in the order they are received.

Please note:

  • Requests must be finalized by WAG staff. We will respond as soon as possible, but it could take up to 5 business days, as we are only open 4 days a week. If you have not received confirmation from us within 48 business hours, please be sure to check your email spam folder. Email us at appointments@wagwag.org if you do not find the confirmation.
  • SERVICE PREPAYMENT is required after appointment is made. WAG’s request for payment will be sent via Square invoice separately from your electronic consent forms.
  • Multiple pets: You may schedule up to 2 pets per appointment. One form submission is required for each pet. We may not always be able to accommodate more than 1 pet for the same day as we only have a set number of appointments that we can fill per day. If you are unable to make a second appointment for the same day, then it must be full. If needed, you can contact appointments@wagwag.org to see if there is another day where you can get them both in on the same day.
  • Rescheduling: If you are rescheduling an appointment, be sure to indicate that in the “notes” section.
  • If you are receiving government assistance and are in need of low-income pricing or financial assistance, please indicate when scheduling.

Tips:

  • Animal Name: If unknown, enter “Dog” or “Cat”.
  • Sex: If unknown, choose Female.
  • Age, Weight: Estimates are okay. (Cats must be at least 3 months of age and dogs at least 4 months in order to be spayed/neutered)
  • Breed: We need your best guess, not “Mutt”. For cats, you may choose Domestic Short Hair, Domestic Medium Hair, or Domestic Long Hair.
  • Date: You must fill out the entire form before being able to select a date. You may need to scroll up the page to see the list of possible dates.
