WAG will be closed Friday, December 20, 2024 – January 1, 2025, for staff to celebrate the holiday with their families. We will return to our regular surgical schedule on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

If your pet recently received surgical services with us and you have a post-surgical issue, email appointments@wagwag.org with “Post-Surgery?” in the subject line or if you do not have online access call 541-345-3566 to leave a message and a staff member will contact you as soon as possible. All messages will be checked daily at 10:30 am. If a message is left after that, the messages will be addressed the next day.

Ongoing Programs

Lane County Cat Vouchers

Lane County Animal Services has $50 vouchers for cat owners living in unincorporated Lane County for cat spay/neuter services at WAG. (WAG is not participating in Lane County’s dog voucher program at this time.)

Read more about the voucher program. If you qualify per the instructions, complete the form, then contact WAG to make an appointment – be sure to mention that you are applying for a Lane County voucher.

You must bring your completed application to your appointment along with your services copay if required to receive voucher pricing. Proof of income not required.

Stop Pet Overpopulation Today (SPOT)

Important Changes to SPOT Voucher Program as Saturday October 21, 2023. Reopening as WAG subsidy Program Jan 1, 2024

SPOT’s spay/neuter voucher assistance program for Lane County’s low-income dog owners with the Willamette Animal Guild Spay Neuter Clinic will go on “pause” as Saturday, October 21 until January 1, 2024, while a new streamlined version of the program is being implemented and WAG is able to handle a very large backlog of appointments.   No new SPOT vouchers will be issued after October 20, 2023.

All SPOT clients who have received a current voucher and have already set an appointment with WAG are confirmed.  If you cancel or miss your appointment, you will not be able to reschedule this year.

New subsidy system and copays

As of January 1, 2024, all spay/neuter subsidy assistance for dogs previously issued as SPOT vouchers will be issued exclusively as WAG subsidies using WAG’s online scheduling application at wagwag.org. Clients will no longer need to fill out applications with both organizations. All clients will be required to provide proof of low-income status on WAG’s application to qualify for a subsidy.

As of January 1, WAG will issue a standard $75 subsidy toward the cost of your pet’s procedure.  WAG may also cover certain specific fees for procedures related to the spay/neuter that are deemed necessary by the veterinarian at the time of surgery.

Wellness services offered by WAG that are unrelated to the spay/neuter procedure cannot be covered by a SPOT grant.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this temporary pause may cause; however, we believe it will be a positive new program for all concerned.
